23 NORTH specializes in connecting food, beverage & equipment manufacturers with large national restaurant chains in the U.S.
We believe in cultivating relationships with our supplier partners and matching them with the needs of the customers.

First, we do our homework. Then comes a meeting focused on the current situation, your priorities and challenges and your immediate needs.

Second, we align with you on goals and a timeline ... and then we go to work finding solutions with trusted partners.

Lastly, once the legwork is done and you are happy with the solution(s), it's time to put them to the test!

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, getting lost in a good book, and tackling a challenging puzzle when she’s off the clock.

Maria Ellis, Head of Strategy, is a Kellogg MBA and dynamic food industry leader with experience spanning Coca-Cola, ConAgra, PepsiCo, and McCain Foods. She served as General Manager of the McDonald’s business unit at McCain and held P&L responsibility for both Retail and Away From Home businesses, bringing a balanced perspective across brand building, customer strategy, and operational leadership.
Known for her energetic and collaborative approach, Maria blends the art of problem-solving with the science of strategic thinking. Outside of work, she enjoys spirited college football debates and the happy chaos of life with two rescued dogs — a decision she considers bold, but entirely worth it.

Alex Dreckshage, Director Strategic Partnerships, has never encountered a timeline she couldn’t tackle. Nicknamed the “Get It Done Girl” around our office, her attention to detail and steel-trapped memory are unmatched — at least after she’s had her essential first cup of coffee. In a world where many people are dominated by “left brain” or “right brain” ways of thinking, Alex brings the perfect blend of creativity and pragmatism to the 23 NORTH team. (Not to brag, but she also brings some killer homemade pasta to our potlucks.)

Raina Patterson, Manager Strategic Partnerships is a creative mind with a passion for people. Her hands-on experience as a supervisor at a large QSR coffee chain has given her years of “behind the counter” experience putting the customer’s needs first. Her degree in Graphic Information Technology led her to graphic design and marketing where she learned her love for helping businesses grow! In her spare time, you can find Raina learning new hobbies, outdoors, or spending time with her family.

Maureen Gleason, Head of Finance & Systems brings more than 40 years of experience across legal consulting and business operations to 23 NORTH. Known for her steady leadership and hands-on approach, she spent nearly three decades building and leading a successful consulting firm before turning her focus to financial and back-office operations. At 23N, Maureen ensures the systems behind the work are as strong and thoughtful as the partnerships in front of it—while still making time for family as a proud mother of seven and grandmother of thirteen (and counting).

Jan Perrino, Board Chair of 23 NORTH and brings decades of foodservice experience helping suppliers prepare for and succeed with large QSR chains. Known for her strategic lens and deep curiosity, Jan has spent her career connecting manufacturers, suppliers, and restaurant customers through strong partnerships and thoughtful execution. Outside of work, she channels that same focus and curiosity into lifelong learning—and a competitive love of the New York Times Spelling Bee.
